Presentation of the paper on hybrid localization methods for B5G networks, on EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025

Following our recent highlights from EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025, the 5G-TACTIC project was pleased to support the presentation of a paper on hybrid localization methods for B5G networks.

The paper, “Integrating 3GPP and Non-3GPP Technologies for Hybrid Positioning in B5G Networks,” proposes a hybrid fingerprinting approach using both 3GPP and non-3GPP signals within a private 5G testbed. The positioning function is implemented as an xApp in the near-RT RIC, demonstrating real-time positioning capabilities for future network services.

This work is partially funded by 5G-TACTIC, reflecting our ongoing commitment to developing secure and intelligent network infrastructures.

Thanks to Viktoria-Maria Alevizaki, PhD, for presenting this work and contributing to the project’s success.
